Department of Transitional Assistance & SNAP Benefits

Formerly known as Food Stamps, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides funds to low income individuals and families to buy food, free classes and resources about nutrition, and opportunities for job training.

Department of Unemployment Assistance 

DUA oversees the unemployment insurance (UI) program, which provides temporary income assistance to eligible workers in Massachusetts. DUA also determines and collects employer contributions to the UI program.

Worcester Housing Authority 

The Worcester Housing Authority enhances the Worcester community by creating and sustaining decent, safe, and affordable housing that champions stability and self-sufficiency for our residents.

Coming Home Central, Metrowest and Western Massachusetts is an online directory of services available to ex-offenders returning to, or currently living in the Central, Metrowest and Western Massachusetts area. The directory is a resource that presents important information for ex-offenders about the services available in our community.  This guide may also be useful for corrections practitioners, program staff, policymakers and the friends, families and volunteers that work with former offenders in the community.

Worcester RMV Service Center

Services include certain driver's licenses, vehicle registration, title transactions, suspension payments, and learner's permit testing.

Voter Assistance

Resources for voter registration, in-person voting locations, mail-in ballots, and accommodations for military personnel, persons with disabilities, and students.

Committee for Public Counsel Services

Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) provides free legal services to people in Massachusetts who are not able to afford an attorney. The Immigration Impact Unit specifically targets and supports immigrant populations.
