State Representative Mary S. Keefe has represented the 15th Worcester District since 2012 and was re-elected in 2022 to serve a sixth term in the General Court. Prior to her tenure in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, Mary was the Executive Director of the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center (PSNNC) for twelve years. She is a founding member of the Progressive Democrats of Massachusetts.

She currently serves as the Vice Chair for the Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure and is also a member of the Joint Committee on Agriculture, Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight, and Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development. She is the House Co-chair for the Legislature's Criminal Justice Reform Caucus, where she works with fellow legislators, staff, and activists to advocate for increased protections and services for incarcerated individuals, reforms to the criminal legal system, and to institute policies that both address the systemic precursors to incarceration and mitigate recidivism.

 

In addition to criminal justice reform, her policy priorities include education, affordable housing, fair labor and wage practices, arts and culture, and environmental justice.
